This scholarship is a platform to help the children realise their dreams and help them fly high!
There are two types of scholarships under this program.
Green Pencil (කොල පැන්සල)
Prepares a student to enter University. It will provide support and contribution towards education as the child prepare for the Advanced Level exams.
Selection Criteria
- Selects students based on the overall O/L results
- Top students from the school based on exam results
- Continuation of the scholarship is subject to ongoing review and coaching to ensure the child maintain the focus.
Blue Pencil (නිල් පැන්සල)
Helps a student graduate from University. It will provide assistance through the university education until graduation.
Selection Criteria
- Selects students based on the overall A/L results
- Must achieve the cut off to get in to a university degree
- Continuation of the scholarship is subject to ongoing review and coaching to ensure the child maintain the focus
How can I get involved?
Green Pencil (කොල පැන්සල)
Required commitment is for 1 year to help the student with their education related expenses
Your involvement
- Once the student is assigned you have the option of direct dialog with the student and their families to get involved in helping to coach and mentor during the year
- Review progress of the child at least every 3 months to ensure the donations are being put to productive use
Financial commitment ( 1 year commitment)
- RS 3000 per month (AUD $ 30)
- RS 36,000 per year (AUD $ 360)
Blue Pencil (නිල් පැන්සල)
Commitment is multi-year (minimum of 3 years) to help the student until they graduate from the university degree
Your involvement
- Once the student is assigned you have the option of direct dialog with the student and their families to get involved in helping to coach and mentor
- Review progress of the child at least every 3 months to ensure the donations are being put to productive use
- Coaching assistance for internships and industry experience together with possible assistance for job search or guidance
- Other Additional assistance where required (optionally), such as Computer equipment where needed
Financial commitment (minimum 3 year commitment)
- RS 5000 per month (AUD $ 45)
- RS 60,000 per year (AUD $ 550)
